Mrs Daljit Rao

Experienced at Senior Executive level in Tourism and the Education sector, after 16 years of being at the helm as a General Manager Daljit was well recognised for her role as the 1st female Area General Manager (SA/NT), responsible for opening a brand new $68 million hotel suite in Australia and played a crucial part as the senior member of the executive team heading the opening of the first Convention Centre in Australia in 1988.
After 2 decades, Mrs Rao, decided to have a sea change and joined the education sector and worked in over 15 countries spanning from SE Asia region to the Sub-continent, Nepal, Middle East, Australia and the Pacific, dealing with institutions, industry and governments at an International level; understanding cultural boundaries and broad social customs of various countries, recruiting and guest lecturing.
In recent years, Daljit established two companies: Visionplanet Australia and PEAR- both organisations related to the Education sector. Throughout her career she has been involved in senior business and government circles including several board commitments as a board member and chairperson. Recognised for her commitment, Daljit was part of the business ambassador forum, which is part of the Business Vision 2010 leaders group. Her contribution was well acknowledged with her appointment to serve on the Federal Board of CRC sustainable tourism, aviation and technology and in recent years appointed to the Education Adelaide Board.
Daljit Rao’s passion for education is an exemplary of her involvement on the Curriculum Advisory Boards at the Universities level and top quality private providers. Mrs Rao is a University lecturer teaching key Business management subjects both at the Bachelor and Masters level in Australia.
