GATE has become Nepal’s first academy to be certified by UKAS (URS) with ISO 9001:2015 in Hospitality Management. In the short period of its existence, GATE rightly became “the winner of the prestigious XII World Hospitality Awards” for “Best Innovative Training Programme” held in Paris, in 2011. Due to its excellent teamwork, well-organized system, and top priority towards food hygiene, GATE has been awarded the “Food Safety National Award, 2011”. Not only this, but College also provides basic food hygiene training and certification, endorsed by DFTQC (Department of Food Technology and Quality Control), HAN (Hotel Association of Nepal), and NTB (Nepal Tourism Board).

Staff working at the GATE additional benefit from:

  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Ten percent of the employee’s monthly basic salary goes to the provident fund after probation completion
  • Local employees who have completed a full year of service will be eligible to receive a payment for Dashain expenses equivalent to one month’s basic salary during the month preceding DashainLunch and tea will be provided to all GATE employees at GATE Office during workdays. However, if the employee decides not to take the lunch or tea provided, there will be no other meal allowance granted.
  • All employees who have finished their probation period at GATE will be provided a uniform as per the GATE’s standard.

Candidate criteria preference

Bachelors (preferably hospitality sector)
At least 1 year experience in hospitality sector preferably front office) .  Flexible with time
Leader qualities
Good communication - both written and verbal
