Overview

Vocational training courses are specific classes offered to learners to train for a particular job or career. These courses are offered to people working in various career fields to improve their skills. Today GATE Vocational delivers vocational skills-focused practical-based hospitality training programs as demanded by the world’s largest food and beverage service industry. With an emphasis on both theoretical and practical learning, GATE is global in its outlook but understands and values the local need while assuring the quality of disciplined work culture. 

GATE has been adopting a Swiss and Australian online study model and Swiss applied training concepts through the affiliate mother-house EHL in Switzerland and TAFE/NSW Australian government. GATE Vocational has become a domestic affiliate from Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and is accredited by the National Skill Testing Board (NSTB) for Accredited Skill Test Centre (ASTC).

GATE is now a renowned home name as Nepal’s best international award-winning hospitality vocational training college who also has two sister-concern partner schools: FAB School in Pokhara and GATE Vocational in Bandipur.  Vocational training is available in Culinary Arts, Bakery, Barista, F&B Service or customized.

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) constituted in 1989 (2045 BS) is a national autonomous apex body of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector committed for the production of technical and skillful human resources required to the nation. It mainly involves in policy formulation, quality control, preparation of competency-based curriculum, developing skill standards of various occupations and testing the skills of the people, conducting various research studies and training needs assessment, etc

Certificate in Barista- GVCB1 (1month)
Diploma in Bakery – GVDBK2 (6 months)
Diploma in Culinary Arts – GVDCA2 (6 months)
Basic Food Hygiene – GVBFC1 (1 day)
Service – GVDFS2 (6 months)
Commercial Cookery – GVTAFECCIII (1 year)

CTEVT accredits this course.

GATE Vocational, a subsidiary of Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education, popularly known as GATE College, offers this course in Nepal.

Any interested candidate with minimum of S.E.E/S.L.C. qualification (Grade 10) or equivalent, students having basic knowledge of English, both oral and written, students having good health and are mentally-aspired to join the hospitality industry.

Practical and theory classes are balanced to corroborate each other. It is up to 75% practical and 25% theory.
